Auditors: Investment in unfinished construction exceeds 5 tln rbl

MOSCOW, Nov 19 (PRIME) -- Total investment in unfinished construction in Russia exceeds 5 trillion rubles as of January 1, 2020, with the physical amount standing at 74,600 units, the Audit Chamber said in a report published on Thursday.

Spending of the federal budget on unfinished buildings grew by 9.7% on the year to 2.143 trillion rubles, and the amount of unfinished construction  units, on which budget money was spent rose by 13.5% to 14,500 units.

Spending of Russia’s regions increased by 2.1% to 2.952 trillion rubles and by 2.6% to 60,100 units, respectively. The figures include all facilities: the ones that are being built, planned, and troubled facilities.

The amount of abandoned construction projects increased by 6 units to 4,300 as of the beginning of the year, with spending rising by 4.4% to 248.337 billion rubles. The amount of long-delayed construction sites increased by 47 units to 3,400 units with investment in them shrinking 23% to 261.893 billion rubles, auditors said.
